Annual Conference

ABOS holds a conference once each year. The 2009 Conference is "Honoring the Past, Creating the Future" October 7-9, 2009 in Everett, Washington.
Registration Fee:$160 ABOS Members, $200 Nonmembers.  ABOS Membership: $39 per year.

Conference Hotel: Holiday Inn Downtown Everett, Washington Phone 1-425-339-2000.When booking your hotel rooms, you must say that you are part of the ABOS conference to get the conference rate of $99 (per day) for rooms.

Amtrak is offering a special conference fare to ABOS attendees of 10% less than their lowest available rail fare. Travel dates are three days prior to the convention start date and three days following the last day of the meeting. You need to refer to Convention Fare Code X36W-958 when booking your ticket for the discount.  Amtrak Letter has details. You must call Amtrack at 1-800-872-7245 or book through a travel agent. Do not book through their website.This may be an attractive option for people on the West Coast and in the Great Plains areas.  The Amtrak station is just 4 blocks from the conference hotel and the hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the train station.  Go to www.amtrak.com  to check for schedules and ticketing information.   Everett Station is your destination.
