Amtrak is offering a special conference fare to ABOS attendees of 10% less than their lowest available rail fare. Travel dates are three days prior to the convention start date and three days following the last day of the meeting. You need to refer to Convention Fare Code X36W-958 when booking your ticket for the discount. Amtrak Letter has details. You must call Amtrack at 1-800-872-7245 or book through a travel agent. Do not book through their website.This may be an attractive option for people on the West Coast and in the Great Plains areas. The Amtrak station is just 4 blocks from the conference hotel and the hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the train station.
